Year 2013

Our first school trip was the beach at Riversdale . We catched waves and learnt how to safe lifes .And swiming sports.That was the highlight of term 1.

Term 2 I played netball every saturday morning plus practis 

We also did the triatholon swimming biking and running I really enjoyed it.

Term 3 We did the button box prodution i loved being a indian

In term 1 we had year 6 camp. It was really fun having camp and playing spot light. In term 2 I played soccer. It was very fun.
in term 3 we had the school production  and we where Indians it was awesome . In term 4 we went to Somme  island it was so cool going on the fairy was my favorite part and graduation was so sad and the road patrol party was so fun I will miss this school.

In term 1 we were learning about surf safety. About how to keep safe when you're in the water at the beach pools or river / lake. We went to the beach seeming we were learning about surf safety. The life guards showed us what they use if someone needs help in the water. One of the life guards took us up to where they stay if the beach is closed or if the waves are to big. Inside we watched a small DVD about surf safety. They we went for a swim. 

In term 2 we were learning about old toys and games. We didn't go for a trip but Paul Reid, Jacobs Dad came with a bunch of toys and games and showed them to us. He talked to us what he did when he was a kid when electronics weren't around.  I had a great time learning about that!!

In term 3 we were studying India. We had the production 'The Button Box' We did the jump jam Indian dance for our awesome act. We sang a lot of songs from each country. I liked doing that productions, sadly my brother didn't do it because he hadn't started school at that time. 

Now we are in the last week of term 4. We are learning about flight. We went to the aerodrome. I didn't get to go because I was spending time with my family because my parents just got back from Australasia. But I'm guessing it was fun!

That was my year in Kauri :)

Term 2:In term 2 we learnt about toys and olden day toys.Also Jacobs dad  Paul came to talk about toys when he was young like us,that was pretty cool too.
Term 3:In term 3 We were studying India Also It was the school production the Button Box  Sarah Was Grandma,Thorin was Grandpa,Imogen  was Kate,Aston was Alice,Luke was George and mack was Jack.
Term 4:In term 4 We were learning about flight we went to the aerodrome And somes island.somes island was sooo much fun as soon as we got there we had to check and see if there were and mice or rats of any thing like that in our bags

Hi my name is Mack I live on a farm with 4 horses, Jonty (my horse),Harry (my brother George's horse) Trev (dads horse), Ouau (retired) and a dog called Norma Jean, she only has one eye from back yard cricket. Back yard cricket is a type of sport out in the back of your house. I live in a family of 4.

My friends are Rocco, Jacob, Jake b  Jake H, Ezekiel, Luke, Malachi and Piet. One thing I like to with them is sports and laugh.

My thoughts about Cross-Country

My heart was pounding, My blood was rushing up to my head
It was the big day of the Solway School Cross-Country Everybody was like the speed of light! (well sort of) Then was the moment I was dreading! The Yr 6 Race! At the start I was trying as hard as i could. In the middle of the race Thorin was behind me! I had a plan to walk when he runs and run when he walks And my plan worked Really well! When I heard my name on the loud speaker I ran as fast as I could and everyone was cheering for me. When I crossed the finish line I was so happy that I had not come last (But I do feel bad for Thorin). Well. That practically explains my time at the Solway Showgrounds. :D

In the weekend Katie stayed at my house for the night on Friday because it was the chior show was on and Katie couldn't go so my mum took her and when the show finished my mum came and picked us up from there and mum asked if we had a good time and we said" we had a great time'' then we all got a ice-cream and went home and went to bed.In the morning Katie and I cleaned the hole house up and Misty and Rosco room out in the sleep-out when mum came home she didn't have to clean up she could just rest
 

In the weekend I went to my next door to my next door neighbers to play up the tree. Ben Ashton and me  made a hut and we had food up the tree it was fun.

In my weekend I went to farmers to buy a toy for me and my brother. My brother got a hot wheels car and I got a beyblade.

hayleys weekend

On my weekend my cousins Dre and Britney stayed and we played Black ops and rosted marshmallows outside it was fun. We went to the pools on Friday but i wasnt having fun i wanted my BFFS Bailey and Eternal to stay at my house but my mums car brock down so we couldnt pick them up. We got to he pools by walking :[ i played on the computer and talking to my friends i got up to level 10 by myself then i lost the ray gun`and got a war machine thats shots out GRENADES  we got kicked of dads playstation cause we were so messy :[ Then we droped them off and i got ready for schoolbut i didnt fell that good . Iwent to bed till the morning now im here at school THE End.

My term has been really good. I enjoyed doing all of the art in the term. I also enjoyed te reo with miss standish every Thursday. I also liked having buddy time with Tikoki. I have made lots of new friends in Kauri. This term has been one of the best term ever!
